I generally do not post online reviews, but my experiences with Dr. Dinkha, with her dental staff, and with her office personnel compel me to post this grateful review.

I have a long history of anxiety and fear in the dentist chair, feelings which originated during some extremely painful dental work performed on me by a sadistic Army dentist in West Germany who refused to use any form of anesthesia on his patients.

A few months ago I was experiencing considerable pain in a couple of my rear molars, so I began to research dentists on the North Side of Chicago to find one with a reputation for ensuring a pain-free experience and with a reputation as a first-class clinician. After reading other reviews of Dr. Dinkha and her staff, and after carefully scrutinizing her educational qualifications, I made an appointment to obtain treatment for my painful molars.

When I met Dr. Dinkha and submitted to her comprehensive evaluation of my teeth, I was astonished at how thorough, meticulous and attentive she was: before performing the work that was required to resolve my molar pain, Dr. Dinka instructed her staff to take a thorough series of x-ray images of all of my teeth and to obtain an exhaustive dental history from me. When I explained that I was extremely anxious about pain, Dr. Dinkha and her staff were genuinely empathetic, and they assured me that they would apply whatever anesthetic necessary to ensure I felt no pain or discomfort during my treatment. My first treatment went so well that I can truthfully write that my first experience with Dr. Dinkha was really fun!

After my first visit, and at my request, Dr. Dinkha and her staff prepared a very detailed and precise dental plan designed to correct and remedy all of the many dental issues I have as a result of avoiding dentists for the past 20 or so years.

I have since returned for several appointments to rectify these issues, and each time I have been absolutely delighted with Dr. Dinka and her staff. The office desk staff are cheerful, likeable, personable and extremely proficient at their jobs. Her insurance and billing assistant has an absolute mastery of dealing with insurance and payment issues: she knows all of the “ins and outs” of insurance claims, and she takes whatever time is required to provide detailed explanations of costs so that even a simple-minded person like me can understand what is going on! Her dental hygienist Irma performs her job with wizard-like skill and a sense of humour … she’s been performing deep-scaling and cleaning for more than 20 years, and she is very likely the best Dental Hygienist in Chicago. Dr. Dinkha’s medical staff are all very highly-trained experts in their specific roles, and they are genuinely caring and empathetic women who do everything both to ensure that their patients are relaxed and to ensure that their patients experience no pain whatsoever.

Dr. Dinkha is a warm, genuinely empathetic, caring and brilliant woman, and her work is pure artistry: she is extremely thoughtful, careful, patient and meticulous, and I have nothing but the highest praise for her. For the first time in my life I find myself looking forward to my dental appointments! Not simply because the nitrous-oxide is complementary, but because I am a patient at what is very likely the finest, most friendly and most professional dental practice in Chicago!
